September 29, 2019 at the Franklin Creek Grist Mill this FREE event will start off with a Nature Walk through the Franklin Creek State Natural Area. There will be mill tours and music throughout the day. All proceeds from this event benefit the Youth Programs offered by the Franklin Creek Conservation Association, including renovations on our newest property purchase, 1480 Old Mill Rd. 10AM-Noon: Guided Nature Walk Noon-12:30: Live guitar performance 12:30-1:30: The American Indian Way of Life 1:30-2:00: Break 2:00-3:00: Live eagle presentation by Hoo Haven 3:00-3:30: Break & Painted Ponies (painting live horses) 3:15-4:30: Native American stories and "Talking Feather" craft (3:15-4:00, $3.00) "Every Bit of a Bison" by FCCA - How the bison sustained Native American life and culture (3:30-4:00) Live guitar performance (4:00-4:30) 4:30-5:00: Celebration of Native American Culture Through Music and Dance - Kim Sigafus Food, drinks, and gift store will be available from noon to 5:30. |
