The Husar trail is dedicated to John Husar, who was a writer for the Chicago Tribune and an advocate for the conservation of natural areas. His book, A Voice in Our Wilderness, is a collection of his writings about the outdoors and all types of adventures here in the Midwest. Along this trail in the spring, you will be blown away by the Virginia Bluebells, along with several other spring ephemerals, such as Wild Geranium. You might even find some Jack-in-the-Pulpit!
