Chautauqua Historically Dixon, IL held the second largest Chautauqua in the country. The dedicated volunteers at Franklin Creek Conservation Association brought back this tradition in 2015. Franklin Creek's Chautauqua is a great place to find edutainment. A fun way to learn new skills, traditions, and more! In the past we have had "Teddy Roosevelt", Kim Sigafus, live animal presentations, black smiths, and of course, delicious food. The Chautauqua is held on the last Sunday of September. This event includes finding sponsors, creating marketing material, and volunteer recruitment. This year's Chautauqua will be held on September 27, 2020.
