FCCA's First Annual Art Fair August 28th 10AM-4PM 2021 FCGM PROSPECTUS Franklin Creek Grist Mill fine art and folk art fair will be held on the grounds of the Franklin Creek Grist Mill. The Grist Mill is the only Grist Mill still powered exclusively by water in Illinois. Although a reconstruction, the original mill stood in the same site as the reconstructed mill. We invite artists with high quality, handmade, original works of art & folk art to apply to be a part of this one-of-kind art fair.
ELIGIBILITY 1. All works must be original in concept and design and must have been executed by the applicant. 2. Works in any medium qualify, including paintings, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, glass/wood, ceramics, jewelry, and tapestries. 3. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
EXHIBITION RULES 1. Each exhibitor is responsible for providing and assembling his/her own shelter and display and un-loading & loading. 2. Set up time is 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM Saturday. All vehicles must be unloaded by 9:00 AM Saturday. 3. Exhibits must be set up before 10:00 AM Saturday and taken down after 4:00 PM on Saturday 4. Spaces are 12’ x 12’ 5. The images you include in your application should represent the quality you exhibit in the show. 6. Reproductions of original work must be marked as such. Cards and reproductions of exhibiting artist's work are permitted if they are not more than 20% of the total display. 7. There will be no refunds for cancellation after acceptance, removal for cause, bad weather or other acts of nature. Exceptions may be made for highly unusual circumstances at the discretion of FCCA 8. There is no rain date. 9. Each artist assumes full responsibility for the care, safety, and security of their work and property. FCCA, its board and members, or IDNR assume no responsibility or liability for accidental damage, theft, vandalism or lost property. Application by the artist for participation in Franklin Creek Grist Mill Art Fair indicates the applicant's agreement with all terms contained herein. 10. Our preferred method of communication with you will be via email. 11. Judging will be done by a panel of FCCA members. 12. Best of show and three merit cash awards will be presented in the afternoon of Saturday. Award amounts to be determined.
ENTRY 1. The $65.00 booth fee is not refundable after acceptance 2. If you are not accepted, the booth fee check will be returned to you. 3. Deadline for submission of applicants is midnight, July 1, 2021 4. Entries will be acknowledged by email as they are received. All entrants will be notified of selection results via letter by July 15th, 2021.
